Creative Vibration (Spanda) Flow with Rachel
Spanda is the creative pulsation of energy that resides in all beings
Time & Location
May 20, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Spirit Rebel Collective, 17400 Northwoods Blvd suite 1a, Truckee, CA 96161, USA
About the event
Connect with the essence and sensation of spanda, the creative pulsation of energy that resides in all beings, inspiring movement and energetic flow. This class will explore the waves of energy that are constantly expanding and contracting, both within and around us, especially during springtime growth and emergence. The subtle vibration of spanda initiates and inspires creativity and connection. When we bring our awareness to this vibration, alignment with the natural world and our personal intentions flows easefully. Through this practice, we will move through a centering meditation practice, a creative and inspired asana flow, and pranayama practices to support connecting with intention and the cycles of nature. Since an introduction to yoga in college, Rachel has been exploring the depths of her personal yoga practice, eventually journeying into the Costa Rican jungle to complete her first teacher training in 2015. Seeking community closer to home, she found Vira Bhava Yoga in Nevada City and received her 500-hour certification in 2018. In 2021, she completed another 300-hour teacher training, Embrace Yoga’s Roots, with Susanna Barkataki, and is currently engaged in a Yin and Meditation training with Tiffany Cruikshank and Dr. Rashmi Bismark. Rachel has been teaching since 2015, in Truckee, and online with Vira Bhava Yoga. Rachel is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and also holds a certification as a Continuing Education Provider. When not practicing or teaching yoga, Rachel works as the Development Manager at the Great Basin Institute, an environmental nonprofit based in Reno, Nevada. She finds her greatest fulfillment in creating connections with the natural world and bringing people into relationship with their own innate wisdom. Rachel has called Truckee home for over 10 years, and loves to hike, run, ski, paddle, and travel with her partner and their adventure pup.
